der folgende Text ist von einer "cd", die ich mir von Delhi mitbrachte... vorher war ich für zweieinhalb Monate zwecks Belehrungen vom Dalai Lama in Dharamsala... Jahre vorher begab ich mich auf die Suche nach der Bedeutung von Om... angeregt durch die Upanishaden... durch Chris Amrhein, der mir auch "Nada Brahma", die Welt ist Klang, von Behrend empfahl... immer mehr kam ich der Sache auf den Grund...

Om: The Seed Sound of Creation

The concept of Om as the primordial sound foreshadows the Big Bang theory a few thousand years.

"The Word Om is the Imperishable; all this is its manifestation" says the Mandukya Upanishad.

All the world's faiths and traditions echo this truth that universal matter was created by sound: "In the beginning was Brahman, with whom was the Vak (or Sound)... and the Vak is Brahman" say the Vedas... which St. John reiterates in the Bible "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God".

Sufis called the primordial sound "Saute Surmad", the tone that fills the cosmos, its frequencies too fine to be seen or heard. It was "Saute Surmad", which Muhammad perceived when he was enlightened in th cave of CareHira.

Moses heard the same sound on Mount Sinai. The same vibration became obvious to Jesus when he was in union with the heavenly father in the wilderness. It is this same "Anahad Naad" the unstrock sound) that the yogis and gurus of India have described in the Samadhi state. The flut of Krishna is the symbol of this seedless sound.

This sound is the source of all manifestation, revealed to the masters from within.

Welcome to the Lord!
The word OM is the Imperishable;
all this is manifestation.
Past, present, future, everything is Om.
Whatever transcends the three divisions of time,
that too is Om.

The Self, though beyond words,
is that supreme word Om.
Though indivisible,
it can be divided in the three letters
corresponding to th
three conditions of the Self
the letter A, the letter U,
and the letter M.

The waking condition called the material condition,
Corresponds to the letter A, which leads the alphabet
and breathes in all other letters.
He who understands, get all he wants;
becomes a leader among men.

The dreaming condition, called the mental condition,
corresponds to the letter U.
It upholds; Stands between waking and sleeping.
He who understands, upholds the tradition of spiritual knowledge;
looks upon everything with an impartial eye.
No one ignorant of spirit is born into his family.

Dreamless sleep, called the intellectual condition,
corresponds to the third letter M. It weighs and unites.
He who understands, weighs the world; rejects;
unites himself with the cause.

The fourt condition of the Self corresponds to Om
as one, indivisible word. He is Whole; beyond bargain.
The worl disappears in him. He is the good; the one
Without a second.
Thus Om is nothing but Self.
He who understand, with the help of his personal self,
merges himself into the impersonal Self.
He who understands, with the help of his personal self,
merges himself into the impersonal Self;
He who understands.
